meter.base Solar is now installer app compatible!

The latest release has brought meter.base Solar setup into the Installer App! Now, any of our current meter.base models can be set up within the meter.me Installer App, simplifying flows for installers.

Any meter.base Solar (Milesight SG50) models shipped after November 13, 2025 will carry QR labels that are compatible with the meter.me Installer app. Just assemble, scan, and go!

If your meter.base Solar was shipped before November 13, 2025, rest assured that you can still set it up using the Installer app! The only difference is that the QR codes on those devices won't be scannable; instead, you'll manually select the model and enter the EUI listed in the older version of the QR code.

You can distinguish which QR code label your device has by the following attributes:

New QR label that is scannable with the meter.me Installer app

• meter.base type noted at the top
• single-line meter.me logo
• Make and model below QR code
• 16-digit number

Older QR label that is scannable with the meter.me User app (retiring soon):

• stacked meter.me logo
• 6-digit number underneath QR code
• In order to get the full EUI to enter into the installer app, scan the QR code with your mobile device
