There are various situations that might cause your physical water meter reading to become out of sync with the reading in the meter.me app. Many of those situations have to do with the physical installation of the meter or the monitoring equipment, so if you have a large, unexplained discrepancy or a recurring issue, be sure to reach out to your meter.me certified installer for more information on how you can address it.
In the meanwhile, it can be helpful to you may want to reset the water meter counter in your app to match the reading on the water meter. To do so, follow the steps below. This can be done from both the mobile and web meter.me user apps.
To reset your meter count from the mobile app:
- Log in to the meter.me mobile app with your account. (Note: if your role is "view only", you will not be able to complete the calibration of your meter in the app)
- Select the system that contains the component you are updating
- Select the component you are updating
- Select the Gear Icon in the top right corner of the screen
- Update the meter reading with the new value in the Current Counter field
- Select Save (you may have to select ‘done’ on your keyboard first)
To reset your meter count from the web app
- Log in to the meter.me web app with your account. (Note: if your role is "view only", you will not be able to complete the calibration of your meter in the app)
- Select the system that contains the component you are updating
- Select the 3 dots to the right of the component you are updating
- Select Edit
- Update the meter reading with the new value in the Current Counter field
- Select Save
