Keeping track of when your pumps, valves, and control components ran — and who operated them — just got easier. Operational history provides a complete record of device activity over time, enabling you to audit operations, identify issues, and ensure your equipment is used correctly.
What is operational history?
Operational history is a calendar view of past activity for any remotely controlled pump, valve, or control component. For each run, you can see:
- Start and end time
- Status
- Duration
- Operated by — who or what triggered the device
- Errors - if any occurred during the run
How to access operational history
Navigate to any pump, valve, or control component in the meter.me app or web app. Tap or click on the component to open its details and view operational history
Operational history can be viewed in three time periods:
Month view
Shows a calendar of the current month.
- Days on which the component ran are highlighted.
- Days with errors are marked in red.
- On the web app, you can click on any day to see a summary of that day’s activity, including total runs, runtime, offline time, and number of errors.
Week view
Shows the runs that occurred across each day of the week. Runs that encountered errors are outlined in red. On the web app, you can click on any individual run to see its full details.
Day view
Shows a chronological log of every run that occurred on the selected day, including all run details and any error messages.
To move between time periods, select your preferred time period from the options. The time period you have selected will stay consistent as you switch between month, week, and day views.
Offline periods and errors
Two optional layers can be toggled on or off to customize what you see:
- Offline periods — grays out the time when the device was offline
- Errors — highlights runs and days that encountered errors in red
Use the toggle controls in the view to show or hide either layer.
Who operated the device?
Each run shows who or what triggered the device:
| Operated by | Meaning |
| Name or email | An app user operated the device remotely |
| Sensor Automation | An automation triggered by a sensor reading |
| Schedule Automation | An automation triggered by a schedule |
| Smart Automation | A smart automation rule |
| Manual Override | The device was switched on-site physically |
| Unknown | The trigger could not be determined |
Exporting operational history
To export a record of your device’s activity, tap or click Export Report. On the web app, this downloads a CSV file, and on the mobile app, it will trigger an email to you with the file attached. The file contains a summary of all runs, including start time, end time, device state, runtime, and operator for the selected time frame. Errors, offline periods, and other events are not included in the export.
