As of October 2024, meter.me is updating its user roles and permissions for customers.
Roles Overview:
- Owner: Multiple users on a system may be assigned an “owner” role. In addition to viewing and operating water system components, users with an "owner” role can manage other users, allow or deny sharing the water system resource information (in locations where the meter.me app is integrated with local fire agencies), and cancel their water system account.
- Manager: The manager role has all the same permissions as the owner, except that it cannot allow or deny sharing water system resource information or cancel an account.
- Operator: This role caters specifically to users who must operate pumps or valves. This role allows viewing and operating devices, but not administering the system or users within the organization.
- View-Only: Users with this role can view the system and its components and manage their own alerts. They cannot control or edit any part of the system.
