About Usage Summary Reports

Managing and understanding your water usage across your property is now easier than ever. Our enhanced water meter usage summary reports help you stay informed, meet regulatory requirements (if applicable), detect potential water loss events, and make data-driven decisions about your water usage with ease.

Report Options

Monthly - The monthly report will show each day's usage alongside your running total for the month.

Yearly - The year report will show each month's usage alongside your running total for the year.

How to Export a Usage Summary Report on the Mobile App

On the mobile app, you can export usage summary reports for a particular month or year by sending the report to the email associated with your app account.

1. First, navigate to the water meter for which you want to generate a report
2. Click on the graph to bring the detailed view

3. At the bottom of the graph, click on “Export Report”

   

In the report dialog box:

1. Select the period you want the report for. This can be either a monthly or yearly report
2. Select the exact date you want to report for: a particular calendar month or year
3. Finally, click “Send to email” at the top right

You’ll receive a summarized usage report in the inbox of the email associated with your app account.

How to Export a Usage Summary Report on the Web App

On the web app, you can send the report to your email or export usage summary reports for a particular month or year by downloading them directly to your desktop device. Plus, you can schedule recurring usage summary reports to be sent to you and other users with access to the water meter in meter.me.

1. First, log into your account at https://web.meter.me
2. Navigate to the water meter for which you want to generate a report
3. Click “Export Report” on the right-hand side

In the report dialog box:

1. Report Type should be Usage Summary
2. Select the period you want the report for. This can be either a month or a year-to-date report
3. You can send this report to your email or download it directly. The download option is only available on the web app (not the mobile app)

How to Schedule a Recurring Usage Summary Report on the Web App:

1. Log into your meter.me account at web.meter.me
2. Navigate to the water meter for which you want to scheudle the report
3. Click on the dropdown arrow next to “Export Report”
4. Select “Schedule CSV Report
5. Enter a name for the report (e.g., “Monthly Usage Summary for Home Water Meter”)
6. The Report Type should be Usage Summary
7. Select the frequency of the recurring report: monthly or yearly
   a. The monthly report will be sent at the end of every month and will include the breakdown of daily total and cumulative usage over the last month
   b. The yearly report will be sent at the end of every year and will include the breakdown of the monthly total and cumulative usage over the last year
8. Select the recipients for the report from the list of users with access to the water system
9. Save

That’s it! The selected recipients will receive recurring usage reports for the water meter.
