meter.me users with the following roles can turn a pump on or off or open/close a valve using the meter.me mobile and web apps:
- System integrators with a Super Installer or Installer role
- Customers with an Owner, Manager, or Operator role
From the mobile app
To start a pump or open a valve
- Log in to the meter.me app and navigate to the pump or valve you would like to control
Select the Schedule bar (the default is set to 5 minutes)
a. In the Duration toggle, you can select a run duration between 5 minutes and 23 hours and 59 minutes
b. In the End Time toggle, you can select an end time up to 23 hours and 59 minutes after the current time.
- After you have selected your preferred duration or end time, select OK to save your changes
- Slide the control and hold for 3 seconds to start the pump or open the valve. A popup will count down for you.
- While the start/open command is being sent, you will see a "pending start" screen. This screen will show for up to one minute while the start command is sent and confirmation of start is received.
- Once the pump start or valve open is confirmed, you will see the state of the pump (on or off) or valve (open or closed), the time the action is set to end, and the name of the user who took the action. These values are visible to all users in the app.
To stop a pump or close a valve
- To interrupt a pump or valve run before the scheduled end time, simply slide the control to the left and hold it for 3 seconds. A popup will count down for you.
- While the stop/close command is being sent, you will see a "pending stop" screen. This screen will show for up to one minute while the command is sent and confirmation is received.
- Once the pump is off or the valve is closed, the screen will update with the state of the device. The user who completed the run is no longer listed on the component screen
From the web app
To start a pump or open a valve
- Log in to your account at web.meter.me and navigate to the pump or valve you would like to control
Select the Schedule time (the default is set to 5 minutes)
a. In the Duration toggle, you can select a run duration between 5 minutes and 23 hours and 59 minutes
b. In the End Time toggle, you can select an end time up to 23 hours and 59 minutes after the current time.
- Save your selection
- Drag the slider to the right to start the pump or open the valve
- While the start/open command is being sent, you will see a "pending start" screen. This screen will show for up to one minute while the start command is sent and confirmation of start is received.
Once the pump start or valve open is confirmed, you will see the state of the pump (on or off) or valve (open or closed), the time the action is set to end, and the name of the user who took the action. These values are visible to all users in the app.
