How to export your component data using CSV Reports

Your meter.me subscription allows you to export raw data in CSV files. For water meters, a usage summary report is also available for convenience. You can export them on demand or schedule a recurrent CSV report (recurring report scheduling is only available via web app)

To export your component data via the mobile app

1. Log in to your account on the meter.me user app and navigate to the component whose data you would like to export
2. Tap on the graph widget of that component
3. Select the time frame (day, week, month, or year) for which you would like to export the data. You can adjust the dates shown by scrolling in the graph window. The CSV file will include the data for the time period displayed in the graph

4. Select Export Report to send a CSV file of the raw data for the displayed time period to the email associated with your meter.me account

   For water meters, when you select Export Report, you will be presented with additional options. 

   • For a monthly or annual usage summary, select Usage Summary. This is the most helpful report to understand your usage at a glance. 
   • For a report of all the raw data from your meter.me equipment, select Raw Data. This will export a report of every datapoint collected from meter.me with date and time stamp. This report can be helpful for troubleshooting equipment or pinpointing leaks.
      

To export your component data via the web app

1. Log in to your account at web.meter.me and navigate to the component whose data you would like to export
2. Adjust the graph view to the desired dates (the default is the past 7 days). The CSV file will include the data for the time period displayed in the graph

3. Select Export Report. This will open a dialog box that will allow you to download the report directly to your computer or send it to the email associated with your meter.me account.

   

4. For water meters, when you select Export Report, you will be presented with additional options.

   • For a report of all the raw data from your meter.me equipment, select Raw Data. This will export a report of every datapoint collected from meter.me with date and time stamp. This report can be helpful for troubleshooting equipment or pinpointing leaks.

To schedule a recurring CSV report via the web app

1. Log in to your account at web.meter.me and navigate to the component whose data you would like to export

2. Select the arrow next to Export Report and then select Schedule CSV Report OR select Create CSV Report from the "Schedule Reports" Section on the page

   

3. In the report creation dialog box, enter a name for the report, select a time interval (daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly), and the Recipient(s). Please note that recipients must be app users who are part of the customer organization to which this system belongs.

   For Water meters, you will have the option to choose a Usage Summary report or a raw data report.

4. Select Save
