How to set up your meter.base Pro V 2.0

Important:

• Do NOT power the unit until antennas are installed
• Do NOT remove SIM card
• Do NOT factory reset
   

1. UNPACK & VERIFY CONTENTS

Confirm the following are present:

☐ UG65 gateway
☐ Mounting bracket & hardware
☐ 1 × LoRa external antenna (N-type)
☐ 1 × LTE external antenna (SMA)
☐ Cable glands
☐ Ethernet cable

Report missing or damaged items before proceeding.

2. INSTALL ANTENNAS (REQUIRED BEFORE POWER)

A. LTE Antenna

Attach LTE antenna to the SMA LTE port
☐ Hand-tighten only
☐ Position vertically

B. LoRa Antenna

Attach LoRa antenna to the N-type port
☐ Hand-tighten only
☐ Position vertically

⚠ Never power device without antennas installed.

3. ROUTE CABLES

Route antenna cable, power cord, and Ethernet cable (if used) through the waterproof gland.

4. SELECT MOUNT LOCATION

☐ Stable wall or pole
☐ Adequate cellular signal area
☐ Clear of large metal obstructions
☐ Adequate space for vertical antennas

5. MOUNT DEVICE

Wall Mount

 ☐ Mark holes
☐ Drill and install anchors
☐ Secure bracket
☐ Hang gateway
☐ Tighten fixing screws

Pole Mount

 ☐ Thread clamps through bracket
☐ Wrap around pole
☐ Tighten securely
☐ Secure gateway

Ensure antennas remain vertical.

6. WEATHER SEALING (outdoor installs)

 ☐ Tighten all cable glands
☐ Create drip loops in cables
☐ Ensure no exposed wiring
☐ Confirm enclosure is fully sealed

9. APPLY POWER AND NETWORK

☐ Connect PoE injector/switch OR DC power supply

☐ If using Ethernet connection, ensure cable is plugged into local network

Allow 2–3 minutes for full boot.

10. VERIFY LED STATUS

☐ Power LED – Solid
☐ System LED – Solid blue
☐ LTE LED – Solid blue
☐ LoRa LED – Solid blue
